Sunday February 16th, 2025 Queen Victoria, at Sea, South Atlantic

Just a quick entry…
Sandra must have had a great sleep last night; the seas were quite high, and the ship was moving around quite a bit – this morning somehow Sandra managed to roll over and fall out of bed while fast asleep. She was still asleep as she hit the floor, I know this as I witnessed the whole event from the benefit of the stateroom sofa. Fortunately she only clipped the nightstand with her head on the way down, otherwise she’d be in the sick bay. On impact she woke up laughing her head off.
Later that morning Sandra happened to spy the captain walking around the ship and couldn’t resist relating her story to him – he said, “I thought I heard a loud bang at 4AM” and they both burst into laughter. In fact there had been a really loud bang at 4AM, it woke me up – the ship must have hit a big wave.
