The Riverside Museum (formerly known as the Glasgow Museum of Transport) was opened in 2011, it’s housed in a hyper-modern award-winning building located at the junction of the Rivers Kelvin and Clyde. It houses the city’s fabulous transport and technology collections, which have been gathered over the centuries and which reflect the important part Glasgow has played in the world through its contributions to heavy industries like shipbuilding, train manufacturing and engineering.

The grandkids loved the museum and many of the exhibits, like trams, buses and trains have a special significance for Sandra as many of her aunties, uncles and grandparents worked in the transportation industry in Glasgow over the years.
