Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 Queen Victoria, Straits of Gibraltar

Updated: Jul 4, 2023

Today we made our transit out of the Mediterranean Sea, through the Straits of Gibraltar, and into the Atlantic Ocean. Despite the cloud coverage, we sited the famous “rock” around noon off the starboard bow. From our windswept observation spot on the top deck the ship appeared to creep on the rock ever-so-slowly, and then it swept by in a matter of minutes. We’ve made this transit a few times, but it’s always a thrill.
